One fact that we would like everyone to know is that...

Ahoy there!

With any investment, it's natural to expect an instant return. It's true that if you want the physique of an Olympian, it is going to take time.

However, there are instant benefits to exercise. It's causing strain, it's going to ramp up the immune system, and it's going to stabilise your nervous system. It's going to enhance your metabolism, and the knock-on effects are endless.

Carbohydrates are a major energy source and a big part of the diet. One fact that we would like everyone to know is that excess carbohydrates lead to excess water retention. We are in no way demonising carbohydrates and we are in no way saying that this is a bad thing.

What we are saying is that carbohydrates in excess are not converted to energy, they have no use and this leads to excess water retention.

That's our message here! Really be thoughtful when it comes to carbohydrate intake. Back to our main message. If you are eating carbohydrates in excess your body may be holding onto high amounts of water and an unsurprising sign of this is bloating.

We are not suggesting cutting out carbohydrates. We suggest treating yourself to a trial period of reducing carbohydrates.

If you are consuming a significantly higher amount of carbohydrates, you may be surprised how quickly you see positive effects when eating adequate amounts.

Your reduction in carbohydrates has now left a window for healthy fats. However, we will leave it there until next time. Creating your ideal diet is going to take time and it is a step-by-step process.

As always, all the best in your endeavour!
