Ahoy there! We would like to touch upon use-by dates. We don't like to make too much of a habit of stating the obvious, but safety is first. First of all, the nation's favourite;
Milk - The expiry date of milk is based on it being unopened. As soon as it has been opened, you generally have 3-5 days to consume it; always check the label. A good trick is to use a marker pen and note down the day you opened it.
Pasta - Conventional spaghetti or pasta, you should aim to seal in an air-tight container.
Dried Fruit - Dried fruit generally has use-by dates from 3 days to 2 weeks. Always check, and importantly, check the storage. Should it be stored in a cool, dark place, or should you refrigerate it?
At Joe's Remedies, we like to consider what you can't see. Bad bacteria in the gut and incidences of gut issues. How many of these cases are down to consuming food that's past its use-by date? As always, we are delighted that you have tuned in, and we hope to have enlightened you in some way. As always, all the best in your endeavour!
